As Anzac Day is approaching again, we remember those who have fought in previous wars. My grandfather was an infantryman in the WW2 so when the call came to shoot up to lovely Yeppoon, QLD for a month in 2015 to help prepare the local shrine of remembrance for the 100th year celebration, it was an honor.
All lettering was hand cut onsite utilizing the old method. No templates.
Black enamel was then applied to the letter facing to help make it stand out.
It was a privilege to help and would accept any offer to help again in future years.
Kudos goes to Bill Gannon, Artist for the transparent mural and the Rotary/ Lions Club, Bendigo Bank and, of course, the RSL at Emu Park.
